TICKET PERFERATIONS |
Tickets must conform to the burst strength as documented by the thermal printer manufacturers. The burst strength is partially controlled by the number of perferations and is important as some thermal printers do not have the "teeth" (clamp that holds tickets in place while ticket is torn off) and therefore several tickets come out at once with the printed ticket.
During the short history of thermal tickets in NSW there have been "problem" tickets that have had 10 perferations and as many as 17 per ticket. To burst these tickets is virtually impossible and in fact it is an easy option to pull the whole bundle of tickets out of the machine.
That is why you should only use tickets approved by the thermal printer manufacturers. Click our ticket approval category for more information. |
